Cedarwood
Cedarwood, the scent of wisdom.
Cedarwood supports thinking, focus, and memorization! A fantastic combination to support focus, especially in children who struggle with this in school, is equal parts cedarwood and lavender...bonus - add vetiver to the mix.
Cedarwood is very emotionally supportive as it is known to encourage strength, focus, balance, fortitude, persistence, confidence, protectiveness, and concentration. It has a warm, sweet, soft, woody, balsamic aroma.
Cedarwood also a ton of other benefits. It is very soothing to the skin, especially dry, cracking skin, and will provide support in combating skin irritations. Supports the body in dealing with dry, red, itchy skin. Add the oil to your skin lotion or soap, rub it on the area directly, or make yourself a bath with five drops of cedarwood oil added to Epsom or sea salt. Cedarwood also protects skin pores from letting in dust or any harmful microbes into the body, which can lead to acne. It is effective for tightening the facial skin and giving it a youthful appearance. To address your acne naturally, add one drop of cedarwood essential oil to your lotion or face soap, or massage the oil into your skin all by itself.
It works as a natural diuretic, which in a way supports healthy weight management. It is very good at cleansing the bladder and kidneys.
You can combine Cedarwood with Bergamot and use as a natural, homemade deodorant (with baking soda and coconut oil). It has an amazing scent especially for men to use as a deodorant and cologne.
Cedarwood has been shown to decrease hair loss and promote thickening and growth of new follicles. It is best to pair it with rosemary essential oil.
Cedarwood pairs well with bergamot, cardamom, Roman chamomile, clary sage, cypress, frankincense, geranium, grapefruit, juniper, lavender, marjoram, neroli, orange, palmarosa, pertain, pine, rosemary, Royal Hawaiian sandalwood, and ylang ylang.
