The Silver Bound program provides a roadmap to structure your business for future success. What you will find here is a sample road map to help you understand ONE way you could grow from distributor to Senior Star in just five months, earning you both the Star ($50) and Senior Star ($250) bonuses. If you have not yet read all about the Silver Bound Program, please read about the program so you have an understanding of what it is about before continuing with this sample roadmap.
A Sample Road Map…
Let’s take a journey from enrollment to Senior Star in just five months. This is completely doable and will be exciting and rewarding. In order to achieve this you will need to have three monthly goals:
Monthly Personal Enrollment Goal - Help two people enroll with a Premium Starter Kit
Monthly Essential Rewards (ER) Goal - Half of your team members ordering on ER
Monthly Group Growth Goal - 1/3 of your team sharing with (enrolling) at least one new person
You will need to be consistent in meeting or exceeding these three goals each month for five months. Below is an overview of what the five months will look like in this example. We will break down each month of the Five Month Road Map to Senior Star to help you get a visual for what you are looking to achieve.
There are many ways to grow your team and reach ranks. This road map is just an example to help you see the possibilities for growth and income potential. The numbers on this form are just examples. The ER, growth (duplication), team size, and check goals are not guaranteed. Commitment and consistency in sharing the Young Living Lifestyle have the potential to be rewarding for others and for ourselves. Team size and checks are based on YL averages shared by leaders, the income disclosure statement, and available bonuses.
The commission examples given are based on personal volume (PV), personal sharing, members on Essential Rewards, and some of your team members sharing with others. Regular unilevel commissions and non-ER orders are not taken into consideration for these calculations, which means your checks could be even greater than estimations based on stated factors.
Monthly Tracker
You could simultaneously transform your cleaning closet, personal care products, and laundry room to a toxin-free oasis with your first five months of essential rewards orders while building the foundation for your Young Living business. You'd spend approximately $500 on your ditch and switch Essential Rewards orders to do this, and you could earn approximately $1120 using this five month road map to senior star example! Use this Monthly Tracker to help you stay on top of your goals and progress throughout the next five months.
Month 1 - Enroll & Share!
In order to achieve the first bonus in the Silver Bound program, the Star bonus of $50, you must have a total organizational group volume (OGV) of at least 500 OGV. It must be broken up as follows:
You - at least 100PV
Organizational Group Volume of at least 500 OGV
2 Legs - each leg must have at least 200 OGV
Accomplish this within 2 months of enrolling with Young Living
When a member enrolls with a Premium Starter Kit (PSK), that month is their first of three Fast Start months. In these charts, your personal enrollments are indicated with a purple star and the number with the star indicates which of the three months the member is in during that month. The enrollment bonus is broken down as follows:
A Premium Starter Kit is worth 100PV. So, on each PSK enrollment, you will receive $25 plus 25% of that 100PV, which is $25. If they add additional items onto their order, you still earn 25% of the PV, so this part of the bonus could be higher. For this example, we are going to stick to just 100PV from the PSK. So each personal enrollment with a PSK is a bonus of at least $50.
For this first month:
you will sign up as a member with Young Living by purchasing a Premium Starter Kit (100PV) and you will enroll in Essential Rewards.
you will enroll two new members with a Premium Starter Kit (100PV x 2 = 200PV). Your potential commission for enrolling these two members will be at least $100 ($50 for each member).
your team will now be a team of three people with a total organizational group volume of 300 PV (your PV plus the PV of your two members).
one third of your team will now be on Essential Rewards.
You can, of course, exceed the minimum goals, so don’t stop even if you reach your goals early in the month.
Month 2 - Star!
For this second month:
you remain on Essential Rewards with a 100PV order.
you enroll two new members with a Premium Starter Kit. You will place these members in your organization in spots that will help you build your team to each successive rank. In this example one new member was placed directly underneath you and the other member was placed under one of your personal enrollments so you can begin building legs.
one of your members will enroll a new member with a PSK.
your team will now be a team of six people (you’ve doubled in size) with a total organizational group volume of at least 500PV (your PV plus the PV of all of your members).
your team has two separate legs, each with 200 OGV.
one of your members will enroll in Essential Rewards ensuring at least one third of your team will still be on Essential Rewards.
now that you have met all of the requirements for the Star Bonus, Young Living will pay you a one-time bonus of $50.
your potential commission check based on this example for month 2 is at least $210, including your Star bonus.
Month 3 - On Your Way!
Now it’s time to work on growing to Senior Star. At Senior Star, the Silver Bound Bonus requires you to have a total organizational group volume of at least 2,000 OGV. It must be broken up as follows:
You - at least 100PV
2 Legs - each leg must have at least 500 OGV
Accomplish this within three months of reaching Star
When you meet all of these requirements, Young Living will pay you a one-time bonus of $250!
For this third month:
you remain on Essential Rewards with a 100PV order.
you enroll two new members with a Premium Starter Kit. You will place these members in your organization in spots that will help you build your team to each successive rank. In this example both new members were placed under one of your personal enrollments, but in different legs continuing to build your legs evenly.
two of your members will enroll a new member with a PSK.
your team will now be a team of ten people with a total organizational group volume of at least 800PV (your PV plus the PV of all of your members).
your team has two separate legs, each with 400 OGV.
two more of your members will enroll in Essential Rewards ensuring at least one third of your team will still be on Essential Rewards.
your potential commission check based on this example for month 3 is at least $195.
Month 4 - Almost There!
For this fourth month:
you remain on Essential Rewards with a 100PV order.
you enroll two new members with a Premium Starter Kit. You will place these members in your organization in spots that will help you build your team to each successive rank. In this example both new members were placed under one of your team member’s enrollments, but in different legs continuing to build your legs evenly.
two of your members will enroll a new member with a PSK.
one of your members will enroll two new members with a PSK.
your team will now be a team of sixteen people with a total organizational group volume of at least 1,200PV (your PV plus the PV of all of your members).
your team has two separate legs, one with a volume of 500 and one with 700, still fairly even.
two more of your members will enroll in Essential Rewards ensuring at least one third of your team will still be on Essential Rewards.
your potential commission check based on this example for month 4 is at least $205.
Month 5 - Senior Star Bonus of $250
For this fifth and final month:
you remain on Essential Rewards with a 100PV order.
you enroll two new members with a Premium Starter Kit. You will place these members in your organization in spots that will help you build your team to each successive rank. In this example both new members were placed under one of your personal enrollments, but in a new leg to start setting you up for future ranks.
two of your members will enroll a new member with a PSK.
three of your members will enroll two new members with a PSK.
your team will now be a team of twenty-eight people with a total organizational group volume of at least 2,000PV (your PV plus the PV of all of your members).
your team has three separate legs, two with a volume of 1,000 and one with 400.
two more of your members will enroll in Essential Rewards ensuring at least one third of your team will still be on Essential Rewards.
you have reached the requirements to qualify for the Senior Star bonus of $250!
your potential commission check based on this example for month 5 is at least $480.

Legs Clarified
In this graphic, you can clearly see your three separate legs indicated by three different colors: green, yellow, and purple. A leg is formed by a member who has 100PV and includes the volume of all the members underneath them. Legs run down vertically. For a leg to be considered a “qualifying leg” the member at the top of the leg must have 100PV. To figure out the volume in a leg add up the PV for the member at the top of the leg plus the individual PV of each and every member underneath that person.
To calculate the total organizational volume for your whole team, add up the volume in all legs plus your PV. In this sample you (100) plus leg 1 (1,000) plus leg 2 (1,000) plus leg 3 (400) equals a total OGV of 2,500.
